CERAC Concerts With Youths

As part of activities to commemorate the 53rd edition of the National Youth Day in Cameroon, the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC) has organised educational talks with youths at the Protestant University of Central Africa in Yaounde. The two-day event which started on February 6 and ended yesterday February 7, 2019 equally witnessed youths voluntarily donating their blood to be stored in hospitals for the purpose of saving lives.

Different speakers from within CERAC, the General Delegation of National Security (DGNS), and the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies (ANTIC), educated the youths on consequences of spreading false information by highlighting some provisions of the law.

Questionnaires were dished out to the youths to get their knowledge level on symptoms of HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, national integration, bilingualism and the activities of the First Lady of Cameroon, Chantal Biya, as well as her humanitarian organisation. The Secretary General of CERAC, Aïssa Motaze who sensitised students from some colleges warned them on the dangers of fake news, advantages of being regularly screened for HIV/AIDS and other related diseases. She noted that the respective educational talks are a modest contribution of CERAC to the commemoration of the 53rd edition of the Youth Day in Cameroon.
