CDU Earmark Strategies Ahead of 2019 Elections

The party officials in the Noun Division organised a grand meeting in Foumban on February 24, 2019.

The Cameroon Democratic Union (CDU) of Dr Adamou Ndam Njoya is deploying teams on the field in different regions of the country to evaluate the registration of its members into the electoral registers, assess pressing challenges to the operation and give solutions and also to prepare the grounds for the designation of the party candidates in the Local Council and legislative elections. A grand meeting for officials of the party in the Noun Division which is the stronghold of the CDU took place in the Mambain neighbourhood in Foumban on February 24, 2019.

The member of the Political Bureau of the CDU, Youmo Koupit Adamou told Cameroon Tribune that the heavily attended Foumban meeting under the leadership of the Noun Divisional President, Lame Zakarie, was to evaluate the level of registration into the electoral registers and give strategies on how the party has to face the various registration challenges.

He said it was an occasion to reaffirm the capability and clairvoyance of the Party Chairman, Ndam Njoya to continue to pilot the affairs of the CDU against the background of attacks from opponents. Koupit Adamou said the Foumban meeting was to refocus political debate which has to be based on ideas.

After the meeting, CDU officials will be deployed to all the nine Subdivisions of the Noun Division to ensure maximum registration of the party supporters.
