Food Price Hikes: “Buyam Sellams” Assist Households

A national forum and exhibition placed under the auspices of the Head of State was presided over by the Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa.

 

With financial assistance from government, petit traders have helped many families in Douala to secure foodstuff enough to extend into the festive season. Most families in the port city of Douala took advantage of the give-away prices to purchase quality foodstuffs during the 4th National Exchange Forum between “Bayam Sellams” and Other Actors of the Informal Sector (FESABI) at the Bépanda Camtel event ground November 9-13.

Placed under the auspices of the Head of State, the forum whose theme was “From the Hoe to the Pan: Let’s Consolidate Achievement”, held alongside an exhibition of farm produce, livestock, arts and crafts.
