Multilateral Surveillance : CEMAC Team Exchanges With Finance Minister

They met with Minister Motaze at the end of their mission, July 31.

The Multilateral Surveillance Mission of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) on assignment to Cameroon have met with the Minister of Finance to discuss the findings of their periodic review. The team led by CEMAC’s Director of Multilateral Surveillance, Nguemeni Jean-Claude exchanged with Minister Louis Paul Motaze in Yaounde, Wednesday July 31, 2019.
It is expected that the official findings and recommendations of the Mission will be made public later. But the CEMAC Director of Multilateral Surveillance told reporters they presented to the Minister their evaluations, notably the macroeconomic and financial situation of Cameroon in 2018 and perspectives for 2019 and 2020. “We also looked at the state of conformity of Cameroon in 2018 to the new guidelines of convergence in CEMAC. We also presented the level of implementation of ongoing structural reforms – public finance, and rehabilitation of state corporations like SONARA, CDC, Pamol and UNVDA.”
