Women Urged To Be Source Of Inspiration

The call was made while opening the third edition of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Friday November 18, 2016.
The paucity of women in the business world is not felt only in Cameroon but the world at large. To render women financially autonomous by raising their status from beneficiaries to actors, the World Women’s Entrepreneurship Day created in 2014, was therefore the right forum to encourage women. Talking during the third edition of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day organised by the Cameroon Women Entrepreneurs Network, CWEN, the representative of Littoral’s Governor commended the initiative that will go a long way to enhance families’ livelihood and that of the country, and enjoined them to be a source of inspiration to young girls.
The third edition celebrated at a time where feminine entrepreneurship is still very weak was a rare opportunity for the Women Entrepreneurship Day’s Ambassador, Marie Caroline Kingue, to intimate that it is just a problem of mentality and a matter of time for women to come out of their shells. “We have to wipe out the mentality that portray men superior workers and women as not only inferior but still bear the housewife profession,” she lamented.
