2020 Women’s Olympic Qualifiers : Cameroon-Congo Showdown Today

The Indomitable Lionesses will play against their peers from the DR Congo in the away leg of the third round qualifier today, October 3, 2019 in Yaounde.

The national women’s football team will clash with the Democratic Republic of Congo today, October 3, 2019 in the away leg of the third round qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The encounter will take place at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium at 3:30 p.m. Ahead of the encounter, preparations have reached high gear in the Lionesses Den. Today’s encounter promises to produce a lot of fireworks as the Lionesses will be out for a comfortable win in order to secure their chances qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games. 
In order to attain this goal the team has been training in their hideout in Yaounde for the past few weeks. The Lionesses had their last training session yesterday October 2, 2019 at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium. It was an opportunity for Coach Alain Djeumfa and the players to make final perfections to avoid any errors in today’s match. For today’s match, the team will be without team captain, Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene, Raissa Feudjio and Yvonne Leuko Chiboso who were suspended from the competition. This notwithstanding, the team is complete and ready for today’s showdown. Coach Alain Djeumfa will be counting on the talents of Valerenga forward, Nchout Ajara Njoya who has scored six goals in five games this season, Betis Seville striker, Michaela Abam, who has also scored a goal for her team in five matches ...
