2016 Women’s AFCON: National Gendarmerie Publishes Distress Numbers

The numbers are to help people in difficulty in various stadia, training grounds, AFCON villages and hotels to seek assistance.
The National Gendarmerie over the weekend published a 24-page pocket booklet for people involved in different aspects of the ongoing 2016 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON football tournament. Entitled “2016 AFCON In Cameroon: Security Guide,” the document produced by the Communication Service of the National Gendarmerie Headquarters, Yaounde, revisits the creation of the security force in Cameroon and its role.
It is divided into four portions viz presentation of the National Gendarmerie, welcome to Yaounde, welcome to Limbe and welcome to Buea. The booklet provides information on the gendarmerie units to call in case of emergency. The publication also offers information on the location, sizes, capacities, parking lots, training pitches and stadia; as well as hotels, number of rooms, services offered and who is lodged where.
