South Africa Bashes Egypt

With their 5-0 win, the Banyana Banyana emerged second in their group A for semis.
Egypt has bowed out of the 2016 Women AFCON competition with a 5-0 thrashing by South Africa in a pool A third march played in the Limbe Omnisports Stadium last Friday. Hostilities kicked off at the Limbe Omnisports stadium with Egypt proving nonchalant and weary before the South African Banyana Banyana that appeared more resourceful, energised, and tactical. From the start, the South Africans hen-pegged Egypt forcing them to retreat and commit repeated defense errors. After early hour misses, South Africa took the lead at the 27th minute with Number 14 shirted Andisiwe Mgcoyi’s curtain-raiser goal.
On resumption, South Africa continued pressure on Egypt benefiting cheers and support from the spectators for short passes and purposeful play style.
