Social Affairs: Priority To Integration of Socially Vulnerable

Social Affairs Minister Pauline Irene Nguene defended the ministry’s draft budget for 2017 on November 26, 2016.

 

The draft budget of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the 2017 financial year stands at FCFA 7.688,5 billion with FCFA 5.723 billion representing the running budget and FCFA 1.965,5 billion being the investment budget. Minister Pauline Irene Nguene defended the draft budgetary allocation at the Committee on Finance and Budget of the National Assembly on November 26, 2016.

She said  the running budget combined with support planned by social partners, will enable the ministry to provide pluralistic solutions to the diversified and ever-increasing demand for socio-economic assistance and integration of socially vulnerable people. In specific terms, the minister said the 2017 investment budget will allow the ministry to continue with the implementation of actions relating to decentralization, as well as the modernization of the CNRPH technical platform. The ministry will also continue to improve working conditions and rehabilitate social structures.
