Legislative By-election : Production of Ballot Papers Progresses

The Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM) is currently producing ballot papers after finishing the production of campaign ballots.

Since Friday, March 6, 2020, the Production Department of the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM) is turning full cycle with the production of ballot papers and campaign ballots of the by-election of Members of Parliament President Paul Biya convened for March 22, 2020 in 11 constituencies.
The Service Head for Printing in the Department of Production, Victor Naibi Makembe told Cameroon Tribune that all the campaign ballot papers were produced by Saturday, March 7, 2020 and handed over to Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), the next day, Sunday, March 8, 2020. By midday, on Monday, March 9, 2020, the printing of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) ballot papers was going on. The Service Head for Printing disclosed that the ballot papers of three political parties, BRIC, PDC, OPDC had already been printed. The counting and parking operations were busy taking place. Printing of the SDF and UDP ballot papers were to follow. In all, Victor Naibi Makembe said that they have 10 days to print and hand all the materials and they are determined and certain to finish the work before the deadline.
