Buea : Taxi Drivers Receive 200 Nose Masks, Hand Sanitizers

The Synchtacam Buea Branch Taxi Drivers’ Union has been sensitizing taxi drivers in Buea about Corona virus and it negative effects. For four days running, beginning from April 2 to 5, 2020, the President of Synchtacam Buea Branch, Edwin Akwe Kome led his executive in the streets of Buea for COVID-19 sensitisation campaign. At the University of Buea junction, in front of Synchtacam Office at Bonduma, Bongo Square and Buea Town, they stopped taxis and explained to the drivers what is COVID-19 and how to prevent it. “COVID-19 is real. Wear your nose mask and sanitize your hands while working,” they educated.
To match words with action, the Taxi Drivers’ Union distributed 200 nose masks to 200 taxi drivers. The drivers were also given hand sanitizers.
