Cameroon-Germany: Purified Bamenda III Water Project Celebrated

Bamenda III Council, Trinkwasser cooperation saluted at inauguration of CFA One billion clean water project of hope.

 

The National anthems of Cameroon and Germany set the tone for the inauguration of the Bamenda III Council giant water project which features on most lips as the project of life for inhabitants that have been suffered the water crises rocking metropolitan Bamenda in recent times. Clean water for life was the inspiration when the Bamenda III Council conceived the project in 2011 and was quick to find funding by the Trinkwasser Association of the Trier City council in Germany.

International cooperation was thus evident at the inaugural with a strong presence of Germans led by the Counselor at the Embassy of the Federal Republic on Germany, Lars Gerit Loymann and a Representative of the Council of Trier, Christian Girvidt.  It emerged from the December 1st, 2016 event in the neighbourhood of Menteh, Nkwen that the purified water scheme is the project of hope that is around to reduce water borne diseases to a minimum.

It was a day for the Mayor of Bamenda III Council, Fongu Cletus who sounded off that the project is a dream come true with some 8000 consumers already served by pioneer for public taps....
