Restructuring Campost: Parliamentarians To Contribute

The Cameroon Postal Service, CAMPOST, is undergoing restructuring. The initiative started on July 7, 2016, when management changed hands from the French under SOFREPOST. Since then, the new management under the auspices of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications is intensifying efforts to bring back the country’s postal service provider back to its feet.

The new management team under Pierre Kaldadak has taken the bull by the horn, with one of the first undertakings being the slash of staff monthly earnings to meet financial loopholes. Restoring confidence and trust in the company is a pre-requisite to reviving activity, with the tutelage calling for the return to the days of old when Cameroonians saved and carried out financial operations.

It is within this precinct that the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Minette Libom Li Likeng was at the National Assembly on December 6, 2016, where she met with Members of Parliament belonging to the Network of Information and Communications Technologies, REPATIC.
