University Of Yaounde II: Special Youth Programme Introduced

A partnership to develop and educate youths has been signed between the University and the mobile phone enterprise. 

 

Vodafone Cameroon has launched its “Youth Programme Initiative” and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Yaounde II, Soa. To this effect, an agreement between the University of Yaounde II and Vodafone Cameroon was signed last Friday, December 9, 2016 at the University campus in Soa under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education, Jacque Fame Ndongo.

After signing the agreement, the CEO of Vodafone Cameroon, Antoine Pamboro, said his company, which does not intend to promote only its commercial activities, wished, as a corporate citizen, to also launch its social programme, "Youth Programme" aimed  at the development and education of young people. According to him, one key way for the enterprise to ensure success in Cameroon is by focusing on youth because they represent the future of any country. Antoine Pamboro explained that the Vodafone youth programme is out to support young people and Cameroonian students in achieving their potential through three key initiatives.

There are  a "Brand Ambassador" programme that will offer young students the opportunity to work alternately at Vodafone Cameroon...
