Ngomedzap Socio-economic Forum : Incentives To Boost Production Offered

This was during an official closing ceremony organised December 20, 2020, to mark an end to the gathering.

It was with tears of joy and with grins from ear to ear that a meritorious few involved in agriculture and local development received incentives to foster the growth of their respective activities. This was during the official closing ceremony of the one-week Ngomedzap socio-economic forum which took place December 20, 2020. Several Ministers of government including that of Agriculture and Rural Development; Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries and that of Youth and Civic Education were all witnesses to the massively attended fiesta.
Indeed, the distribution of these incentives, made up of financial and material donations such as wheel barrows, sprayers, boots, chain saws amongst others falls within the framework of the objective of the forum, which is to enhance production. Hence, during the gathering, competitions were successfully organised and the best candidates were rewarded. One of the competitions, being that of the best agro-pastoral project, saw the first prize worth FCFA 5 million go to a pig farmer, Poulette Ayissi, who is a widow of eight children. She was closely followed by four other farmers who won the second to the fifth prizes. The total prize-worth for this category amounted to close to FCFA 10 million.
