Table Tennis Open : Nyoh Dereck, Ngo Bikai Winners

A competition to mark the restart of table tennis in the country took place in Yaounde recently.

The main hall of the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex was the venue of an Open Table Tennis competition that took place in Yaounde recently. Organised by the Cameroon Table Tennis Federation (FECA TABLE TENNIS), the competition brought together over 50 players from across the country. The competition marked the restart of table tennis in the country after the long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The athletes competed in the cadets, senior (men and women) and the veterans categories. 
In the senior men’s final, Derek Nyoh from the Centre Region beat Djague Alain from the Littoral Region 4-0 sets. In the women’s competition, Ngo Bikai Elise (Centre) beat Mewouo Soleil 3-0 (West). In the cadets category Mbock Juliana (West) beat Acha Chrisma (Centre) 3-0 sets in the women’s competition while in the men’s event Nyoumenka Silvanus (Centre) beat Ebenezer Nzeleng (Centre) 3-0 sets. In the veterans category Ngamaleu (Littoral) beat Maffo Raoul 3-2 sets.
