Government Action : PM Prescribes Concerted Action, Solidarity

Prime Minister, Head of Government Joseph Dion Ngute gave the prescription that constituted a leeway to success during the cabinet meeting of December 30, 2020.

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute has called on concerted action and solidarity among members of government  in order for them to successfully realise objectives government has set in the  2021 Economic, Financial, Social and Cultural Programme he presented in the National Assembly in November 2020.
He spoke at the Star Building on December 30, 2020 while chairing the December 2020 cabinet meeting through videoconferencing. The Prime Minister used the occasion to call some cabinet ministers to order who have despite several interventions have not heeded to the instructions given by Head of State, Paul Biya or the Prime Minister and some realise projects long after the expiry deadline. PM Dion Ngute reminded them that the policy defined by the Head of State which Ministers defended during the election campaign must be implemented with effectiveness. In this connection, he singled out sectors such as potable water supply, energy supply, road construction, valorisation of the production  and industrialisation chain, urban development, education and the health map, stating that projects earlier initiated in the domains must be targeted and implemented right to the end. With the regions soon to be operational, the Prime Minister said the local authorities must be involved and they must effectively play their roles in the implementation of the projects to ensure the wellbeing of the population.
The Prime Minister in his opening statement, recalled that President Paul Biya in the Council of Ministers Meeting of January 16, 2019 that inaugurated his current seven-year term of office insisted that Ministers must be the key actors in the new leap forward that Cameroonians expected. He asked government to be levers of the economic and social transformation of the country.
