Nationwide Ecumenical Service : Religious Pray For Peace In NW, SW Regions

Henceforth, they expect that citizens would be able to go about their activities hitch-free without fear of kidnap in the two regions.

Knees went down praying for peace and justice in Cameroon. Eyes poured uncontrollable tears of unbearable pains in the North West and South West Regions for close to four years orchestrated by separatists. The prayers were loud calling for an end to the socio-political upheaval that has swallowed many lives, bred fear and caused hardship in every fabric of life. The occasion was the nationwide ecumenical service styled week of prayers for peace and justice in Cameroon which held at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium on Saturday 02, 2021.
The ecumenical service was organised by the Roman Catholics, Cameroon Baptist Convention, Pentecostal, Moslems and Presbyterian Church in Cameroon. It brought together over 2,000 Christians and Moslem faithful. In a joint homily, the college of pastors appealed to God in prayers to take away the suffering the people have undergone. The Moderator of the PCC, Right Reverend Fonki Samuel Forba called on all to be farmers of peace and cultivate peace. That if all actions are geared towards peace then we shall return to normalcy now, he said. Other religious called on those in the bushes to drop their arms and return home. This will restore normalcy in the two regions.
