National Development Strategy : UN Is Finalising Cooperation Framework

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on January 14, 2021 had discussions with the new Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Cameroon, Matthias Zana Naab.


The new Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Cameroon, Matthias Zana Naab has commended the government of Cameroon for the recently launched National Development Strategy that covers the period 2020 to 2030. “The UN is finalizing with the support of government our own cooperation framework which will be very much aligned to the government strategy in support of making sure that the government attains its intended objective of bringing  development to its people,” Matthias Zana Naab stated. 
He spoke at the Star Building in Yaounde on January 14, 2021 after his maiden courtesy visit to Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute. He has been in office in Cameroon just for four months and during this time he has been meeting with Ministers whose ministries work closely with the United Nations. After meeting officials of these ministries, Matthias Zana Naab expressed delight with the level of cooperation between the government through the various ministries and the UN entities in the country.
