Tokyo 2021 Women’s Olympic Qualifiers : Lionesses Stumble Before APEJES Academy

The match was part of preparations ahead of the two-legged intercontinental play-off against La Roja Feminina of Chile.

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are fine-tuning their skills in their hide out in Mbankomo. The national women’s football team lost to the boys of APEJES of Mfou 2-4 in a friendly encounter that took place at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo last weekend. The match was part of preparations ahead of the two-legged intercontinental play-off against La Roja Feminina of Chile. 
Some 33 players are presently in camp to prepare ahead of the competition. The third gathering that kicked off on January 27, 2021 will run till February 17, 2021. The team trains twice daily under the supervision of the head coach, Alain Djeumfa.. Last weekend’s friendly match was equally an opportunity for Coach Alain Djeumfa to evaluate the players.
