COVID 19: Upper Plateau SDO Sensitises Grassroots

The tour of all subdivisions took place last week with Yampen Ousmanou telling the population to respect barrier measures.

The SDO for Upper Plateau Division of the West Region Yampen Ousmanou on 17, March, 2021, combed the grassroots of his division to sensitize the population on the importance of respecting Government preventive measures to help fight the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The sensitization campaign that took the SDO and his entourage to Bamendjou, Batie, Bangou and Baham central subdivisions afforded the SDO the opportunity to call on the population to respect all government directives geared towards fighting and slowing down the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. At the various stops, the SDO, Yampen Ousmanou insisted on the respect of the basic hygiene rules, like the systematic wearing of face mask, especially in public places, respect social distancing, going to the nearest health facility when you notice suspected symptoms etc.

The campaign that took the SDO and his team to market places, major business premises equally afforded the team the opportunity to ensure that some basic roles like hand washing cans and hand sanitizers were installed in these business premises.  The SDO also called on mayors, traditional authorities and members of parliament, to help refresh the mentality of the local population on the of the corona virus pandemic and government measures put in place to fight the spread of the new wave of the pandemic that has no cure at the moment.
