Glimmer of Hope

The multibillion Yaounde-Nsimalen highway is about to be completed. Work on the rural section of the road is said to have entered the last lap. Technically speaking, this section of the project has been executed at about 90 per cent. This is surely an execution rate that rekindles lots of hope for the project that ought to have been submitted about four years back. Technicians are busy working on the culverts and other areas that need to be attended to. There is already double assurance that this section of the road will be completed before the Africa Cup of Nations jamboree kicks-off. As the saying goes, it is better late than never. Already, inhabitants along the road are expressing satisfaction especially as they are quite aware the road will be bringing development to their villages.
Concerns over the Yaounde-Nsimalen road is something of a normalcy considering that the double-carriage way was conceived to give the main gateway into the country's capital city the accessibility it deserves.
