35th Anniversary of Bernard Fonlon : Youth Association Celebrates The Pathfinder

The event is a prelude to the 20th anniversary of the legal existence of CAMYOSFOP.

Cameroon Youths and Students Forum for Peace (CAMYOSFOP) has organised an event to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the passing of Professor Bernard Nsokika Fonlon, a man whose contributions to the political and educational landscapes in Cameroon cannot be forgotten. As part of the celebration last Thursday October 14, 2021, CAMYOSFOP equally honoured Peter Essoka and Olive Shang for their contributions to the growth of the journalistic landscape in Cameroon. The event also provided a platform for the association’s members to celebrate some of their patrons and Fonlonists of blessed memory amongst whom: Christian Cardinal Tumi, Professor Daniel Noni Lantum, Dr Chemuta Divine Banda and William Shyntum Tallah
Chairing the event was the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Basic Education, Asheri Vivian Kilo, who was a student to late Prof Bernard Fonlon. She commended CAMYOSFOP especially its Executive Director, Ngalim Eugine Nyuydine, in whom Cameroon is proud for his works towards peace building, combating the proliferation of light weapons, violence against women and men and much more giving the opportunity for Cameroonians to shine the lights on servants of the nation who have left their indelible foot prints especially Bernard Fonlon.
