Bui : Menyong Gilbert Takes Command

North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique chaired the ceremony to commission him as the new Senior Divisional Officer at the Tobin Municipal Stadium on October 27, 2021.

37-year-old Menyong Gilbert Sunday was on October 27, 2021 commissioned into his new duties as the new Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) of Bui Division by North West Governor Adople Lele Lafrique. He takes over from the native of Bui, Lanyuy Harry Ngwanyi who served for two years.
 Appointed by President Paul Biya on October 15, 2021, Menyong Gilbert henceforth administers the Division he knows well considering that he has risen from the positions of First Assistant Senior Divisional Officer and the Divisional Officer of Kumbo Subdivision to SDO. Governor Lele Lafrique used the occasion to challenge the new Bui SDO to work to restore the past glories the Division had before the outbreak of the security and socio-political crisis rocking the North West and South West Regions. Bui used to pride itself as the hub of academic excellence having produced some of the finest brains such as late Prof. Emeritus Bernard Nsokika Fonlon, late Prof. Bole Botake and late Prof. Emeritus Daniel Lantum.
