Cameroon-Korea: Consultations To Deepen Cooperation

The fourth session of the Cameroon-Korea Policy Consultation took place at the Ministry of External Relations on November 12, 2021.

C ooperation ties between Cameroon and Korea will henceforth be consolidated and further diversified following the holding of the fourth session of the Cameroon-Korea Policy Consultation in Yaounde on November 12, 2021. The Cameroonian delegation was led by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu and that of Korea was led by the visiting Second Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea, Choi Jongmoon. During the consultations, the two parties reviewed the overall bilateral cooperation, and came to specific issues related to economic, defence and security, development and cultural cooperation. The head of the Korean delegation Minister Choi Jongmoon told the press after the consultation session that it covered issues such as public health with the fight against Covid-19 and Korean investments in Cameroon. During the high-level exchanges, more Cameroonian students were invited to study in Korea. He also used the opportunity to invite Cameroon’s Minister of External Relations to participate in the UN Peace keeping Operations Ministerial Meeting in Seoul, Korea in December 2021.
