National Assembly : Concerns Of Some Bailiffs Clarified

He answered questions in the National Assembly concerning the case of some bailiffs who are said to be due retirement without having the chance to practise.

The Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Laurent Esso during a question time plenary sitting of the National Assembly on November 18, 2021 answered Hon. Nguenkam Marie-Louis Tchouaga question who raised the concerns of some bailiffs who are due retirement without having the chance to practise. The bailiffs belong to an association called “Collectif des huissiers de justice en attente des charges”. The concerns of the MP is on fate of these bailiffs  who for over  20 years now have been expecting to be appointed in some Appeal Courts in the country.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril presided at the plenary sitting which was the first dedicated to question time since the start of the ongoing November 2021 ordinary session of  Parliament.
Minister of State Laurent Esso in his answer started with a precision. He cited Decree No. 69/448 of 5 November 1979 amended by Decree No. 85/238 of 22 February 1985 governing the functioning of the bailiffs and enforcement agents in Cameroon.
