National Defence : FCFA 259 Billion For Territorial Integrity

Minister Joseph Beti Assomo defended the draft projection before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly on November 28, 2021.

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo has defended the proposed budget of the Ministry which stands at FCFA 259 billion 504 million, 449 thousand before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly headed by Moutymbo Ayayi. Minister Beti Assomo defended the financial projections on November 28, 2021 in the presence of the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Relations with the Assemblies, Bolvine Wakata. 
A presentation of the performance report of the Ministry of Defence indicates that the money will be used to defend the integrity of the national territory, a programme estimated to cost FCFA 133 billion 998 million and 940 thousand. Participating in the protection of persons, property and the environment will cost FCFA 68 billion 986 million 016 thousand and assistance, retraining and reintegration of ex-servicemen and war victims, according to the projection will have a financial allocation of FCFA one billion 598 million 340 thousand.
