Catholic University At 30: Staff Encouraged To Be Results-Driven

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education transmitted the Head of State’s encouragement to the educational body yesterday, December 16, 2021.

The Head of State through the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Jacques Fame Ndongo has congratulated and encouraged the administration of the Catholic University of Central Africa for the job they are doing to educate the leaders of tomorrow. Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo was speaking yesterday December 16, 2021 at the Nkolbisson Campus of the Catholic University as he opened an international colloquium on the theme, “State, Religious Societies in Black Africa, Crossed Analysis.The colloquium is taking place under the patronage of Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo.

On behalf of the Head of State, he awarded labour medals to the staff of the University amongst whom the Archbishop of Yaounde, Jean Mbarga, who is also the Chancellor of the University as well as the Rector of the University and some 50 staff.  The Chancellor of the University said activities to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the institution began last October 17 and will end on December 18, 2021 in different locations in Yaounde.

The Archbishop of Yaounde said it is a moment of celebrating 30 years of hard work and investment for the education of youths in Central Africa and the world at large. “It is a great day for us. We are happy the experience to invest in the educational milieu was a positive one.   After 30 years, we have acquired experience to continue better in the future. The State and different families should continue to have the confidence that they have in us. We are motivated to forge ahead,” Jean Mbarga noted.

The Academic Secretary General of the Catholic University of Central Africa, Professor Jean Paul Messina in an introductory remark which kick started discussions on the colloquium said it was more than time
