Federation of University Sports: University Games To Resume Next Year

The fourth and fifth sessions of the Federal Council of the National Federation of University Sports took place yesterday December 20, 2021 in Yaounde.

After two years of suspension due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the university games will resume next year in the country. This is one of the major topics discussed during the fourth and fifth sessions of the Federal Council of the National Federation of University Sports (FENASU) that took place yesterday in Yaounde. Yesterday’s double sessions aimed at relaunching the activities of FENASU within the context of the world health crisis linked to COVID-19.

Speaking during the opening, the President of the Federal Council, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo said the mastery of the COVID-19 pandemic by the Ministry of Public Health and the putting in place of health protocols aimed at major events without COVID-19 has progressively favoured the reappearance of activities by several national and international sports federations notably the Olympic Games and the CHAN 2021 in Cameroon.
