AFCON 2017: Egypt, Mali Join The Trail

The Pool D encounter will take place today, January 17, 2017, in Port Gentil, Gabon, at 8 pm.

 

The Pharaohs of Egypt will play against the Eagles of Mali in the second Pool D game today, January 17, 2017, in Port-Gentil in the ongoing 31st Africa Cup of Nations tournament. The match begins at 8 pm local time. The encounter is expected to produce a lot of fireworks as each side will fight for the top spot in the pool. Football lovers in Africa and the world will watch a display rich talents as both sides are old names in the competition.

The Pharaohs have won the trophy seven times, winning three in a row between 2006 and 2010. After winning three consecutive Nations Cup titles, the Pharaohs went out of the picture. The team has also been semi-finalists 14 times. The Pharaohs have since bounced back, but are yet to convince football lovers after failing to qualify for the past three tournaments.
