Humanitarian Actions : German Ambassador Discusses With IDPs

Within the framework of her humanitarian actions in Cameroon, the German Ambassador to Cameroon, Dr Corinna Fricke recently visited and exchanged with some internally displaced persons in the North West and South West Regions who for security challenges are seeking refuge in Dschang, West Region of Cameroon. During the exchange, the German diplomat also visited some handicraft exhibition points by the IDPs, an intiative which she applauded, saying she is impressed to have seen some of the internally displaced persons making use of their skills to generate an income for themselves. Dr. Corinna encouraged the IDPs and appreciated their craft work which she termed creative. 
Besides exchanging and supporting the autonomy of internally displaced persons of the two English speaking regions currently witnessing socio-political crisis, the German Embassy also provides assistance to refugees and other victims of the Boko Haram insurgency in the Far North Region, the vulnerable, underprivileged, youths and women.
