Mini Mosques At Parliamentarian Flat Hotel : Mali, Gambia Nurturing Their Faith

With each having its own mosque, the two teams have a comfortable place to worship Allah their creator.

Mali and Gambia whose players and staff are largely Moslems have found solace in nurturing their spiritual life while in AFCON competition. The Parliamentarian Flat Hotel in Buea has setup two mini mosques for both teams at the facility premises where they worship Allah in earnest. Nfor Thaddeus, General Manager of Parliamentary Flat Hotel, said he is satisfied as he watched the grouping and praying of players together. “We created two mini mosques with the intention of avoiding the two teams from meeting together even though prayer in the mosque is always that people can come together,” he explained on January 12, 2022. Given that the players are in a competition; they don’t necessarily follow the prayer time prescribed by the Holy Koran.
