Gashiga : Horse Race To Entertain Visitors

In order to keep the atmosphere buzzy, the regional equestrian league over the weekend organised a horse race competition that saw the participation of over forty-horses.

On the side-line of the 2021 AFCON competition, the North Regional League of Equestrian Sports over the weekend, organised a race competition at the Lomodou Racecourse in Gashiga-Garoua. The race that also counted for the second day of the regional league competition, was divided into five phases. 
For the first race that saw the participation of 15 horses, a cash price of CFA 20,000 was earmarked for the first price, 15,000 for the second and third winner took home 10,000. The nine male and six female horses ran through a distance of 1, 200m, with the highly applauded  male horses owned by Bello Bah dominating the race from start to finish. The second race on the same distance of 1,200m and cash price brought together eight horses. Amongst the eight were seven male and one female from the HML club. The third category of the competition on a distance of 1,400m saw participants bagging home CFA 25,000 for the first price, 20,000 for the second and 15, 000 for the third.  
The third race which was one of the most awaited, brought together nine competitors comprising eight male and one female.  Here, there was a tied race between the Lamidat horse Ramses 11 and Al Maktoum  for a cash price ranging from CFA 25,000 to 15,000, the race saw the jubilation of many youthful supporters especially when number two horse dressed in green and yellow r...
