UNESCO: Director General Ends Cameroon Visit

Madam Audrey Azoulay left the country through the Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport on February 7, 2022 night.

After a fruitful and enriching official visit to Cameroon from February 5-7, 2022, the Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Madam Audrey Azoulay left the country through the Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport on February 7, 2022 night.

Upon arrival at the airport at 9:50 pm, the Director General of UNESCO was received by a delegation led by Cameroon’s Minister of Basic Education, Professor Laurent Serges Etoundi Ngoa. Elements of the Presidential Guard mounted a guard of honour symbolising the official nature of the visit. Minister Etoundi Ngoa and Madam Audrey Azoulay had last minute airport discussions at the VIP lounge up to 10: 40 pm. After this, the Minister accompanied the UNESCO official upstairs to the tunnel leading to the AIRFRANCE plane that Audrey Azoulay boarded.
The UNESCO Director General left Cameroon after a fruitful visit characterised by many high points. The most important one was the State House discussions Madam Audrey Azoula had with the Head of State, President Paul Biya.
