Star Building : Central African Regional Integration Discussed

The Prime Minister on February 10, 2022 received the Deputy Director of the Central and Southern African Division in the Department of Peacebuilding and Political Affairs in the UN.

The security and peace situation and also integration of the Central African Sub-region were among the main issues discussed at the Prime Minister’s Office on February 10, 2022.
The Deputy Director of the Central and Southern African Division in the Department of Peacebuilding and Political Affairs, United Nations, Samba Sane paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute during which they discussed issues related to peace and security in Cameroon and the Central African Sub-region.  The UN official told the press after their discussions that “We discussed issues of main concern to the sub-region. Terrorism, piracy and maritime security. We also discussed the role of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) in trying to bring the sub-region together, moving towards regional integration.”
