U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers : Cameroon Increases Preparations

As part of preparations, the U17 Lionesses played two friendly matches on Friday, February 25, 2022 in Yaounde.

The national women’s U17 football team has heightened preparations ahead of the double confrontation against Eritrea this month. The encounter is a qualifier for the upcoming 2022 FIFA U17 World Cup in India. Ahead of the competition, the Lionesses have increased their preparations in order to secure a spot in the World Cup
As part of preparations, the U17 Lionesses played two friendly matches on Friday February 25, 2022 at the Omnisports Annex Stadium Number One in Yaounde. In the first match Éclair FC of Sa’a outplayed the Lionesses 3-2. The goals for Éclair of Sa’a were scored by Nana at the 18th minute, Njock at the 44th minute and Aboudi (47th minute). The goals for the Lionesses were scored by Bibout (21st minute) and Michaely (40th minute). The second match pitted the U17 Lionesses against FC Ebolowa. The U17 Lionesses beat FC Ebolowa 2-0. The goals were scored by Njock (35th minute) and Belibi (89th minute).  
At the end of the two encounters, the head coach Séphane Ndzana said from the performances of the players it is proof that some progress has been made. He said the two matches were important for the team because he has been able to detect players that can represent the country immediately and those that still have some weaknesses. The away...
