Douala: Bonanjo To Get Facelift

Rehabilitation of some street sidewalks in the administrative quarters will pave the way for free movement of persons.

Rehabilitation works are underway on the sides of some streets in the administrative quarters, Bonanjo, Douala. The works, which consist of removing old, dilapidated surfaces and filling with sands and interlocking tiles as well as concrete along certain stretches, began in December 2021.
The five-month project by the Douala City Council falls within its ambitious programme to give the city a facelift by constructing new streets and rehabilitating existing ones also to ease traffic circulation and movement of residents.

Workers of the executing company, Cesare Btp, were on Thursday, march 3, 2022, digging up old coating on the Christian Tobie Kuoh Street to be refilled later and setting up concrete pegs to separate the street from their sidewalks.
