Burkina Faso Tops Group A:

The Stallions beat Guinea Bissau 2-0 yesterday to reach the second round of the ongoing AFCON 2017 in Gabon.
Burkina Faso has qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2017 AFCON in Gabon. They picked their qualification ticket yesterday January 22, 2017 after beating new comers Guinea Bissau 2-0 in the third and last Pool A Game in Franceville some 500 km from Libreville. For many Burkina Faso fans the victory was necessary to move on being an experienced side while Guinea Bissau did not want to go out of the AFCON without a victory.
Kick off was at exactly 8:00 p.m. with both sides anxious to win. Burkina Faso took the lead from the start and opened scores at the 11th minute through Niguimbe Nakoulma. Charles Kaboré almost increased scores for Burkina Faso at the 41st minute but missed the opportunity. At the 43rd minute Piqueti Djassi of Guinea Bissau had a scoring chance but his attempt was stopped by goalkeeper Kouakou Koffi. At half time the score line was 1-0 in favour of Burkina Faso.
