Political Science : IRIC Graduates Sixth Batch

The Director of the institution, Daniel Urbain Ndongo presided at the ceremony on March 11, 2022.


Some 29 political science masters students of the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) specialising in the field of Globalisation and la Francophonie of Chaire Léopold Sédar Senghor, have graduated. The Director of the institute, Daniel Urbain Ndongo on March 11, 2022 presided at the graduation ceremony of the sixth batch of the department which was also the welcome ceremony for admitted seventh batch of students. The masters programme is offered in partnership with the University of Jean Moulin in France. In attendance were members of the diplomatic corps. 
The Director of IRIC in his speech urged the students to use the knowledge acquired in fostering the diplomacy of Cameroon. He said the institution has since its creation trained over 3,000 diplomats from 40 countries and has training programmes in partnership with other institutions. 
Presenting the graduating batch, Prof. Emmanuel Pondi who piloted the training programme said it consisted of four semesters within a two-year timeframe. Classes, he noted, are from 4pm to 8pm and are both onsite and virtual with teaching staff comprising both nationals and foreigners.
