Cameroon-Kenya Military : Cooperation Prospects For Greater Collaboration

A visiting delegation of the National Defence College of Kenya was at the Yaounde International College yesterday March 16, 2022.

Cameroon’s military leadership and the contribution of the defence and security forces to the protection of cyberspace have been presented to a visiting delegation of the National Defence College of Kenya which has as team leader Brigadier Mwamburi Joakim Ngure. This was on March 16, 2022 as the delegation visited the Yaounde International War College and was welcomed by the Commander of the institution, Colonel Tiokap Pierre Loti. 
The college was presented to the visiting delegation as a structure responsible in training senior command officers on strategies and act of war, interministerial action, managerial and anticipation mechanisms to conflict, security and disaster control, and operates in partnership with the Paris War College. 
On the contribution of the defence and security forces to the protection of the cyberspace in Cameroon, the delegation was told that protection of systems and resilience through digital investigation, security protection and security intelligence is what is being principally done. Three major structures are responsible for the protection of cyber space; the centre for military intelligence (responsible for detecting and dismantling scammer), the directorate of electronic communication and the military security department.
