Promoting Bilingualism, Multiculturalism : Institutional Thematic Assessed

A delegation from the Bilingualism Commission was at FEICOM on March 30, 2022 on a sensitisation and evaluation mission as concerns the use of the two official languages.

As efforts in the promotion of bilingualism and peaceful social cohesion, a delegation from the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism led by David Abouem A Tchoyi and Françoise Angouing was at the Special Council Support Fund for Mutual Assistance (FEICOM) on March 30, 2022 to evaluate the practice of the concept in the institution. 
Highlighting on the objective of their visit, David Abouem A Tchoyi noted that there were at FEICOM to assess the level of implementation of resolutions taken in 2018, during one of the evaluation missions of the Commission. “Bilingualism is a core asset of our national unity and identity. We are here to discuss and see how to improve on the practice of our two official languages. We are also here to raise awareness and see how we can fight against the scourge of hate speech, especially on the social media, and promoting living together,” he stated. The Commissioner urged the staff of FEICOM to help the State in implementing the policy of bilingualism and living together. 
After exchanges with staff of FEICOM moderated by Françoise Angouing, he congratulated the management of the institution for efforts in promoting the use of the two languages. “We made recommendations three years ago and we have realised that all of them have been implemented thoroughly.
