Consular Services : Cameroon Seeks Security, Standardisation

Government and Impact Palmarès company signed the modernisation partnership contract on April 1, 2022.

Everything being equal, starting from June 1, 2022, Cameroon’s diplomatic missions and consular posts, the land, air and maritime entry points into the country will be endowed with state-of-the-art equipment and personnel susceptible to authenticate biometric visas delivered in Cameroon’s embassies and consulates abroad.
This will be thanks to the partnership contract for the financing, conception and realisation of security and standardisation of consular services in Cameroon. The contract was signed at the Ministry of External Relations on April 1, 2022 between government represented by the Minister of External Relations Mbella Mbella and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ivorian company Impact Palmarès  (IPRD SAS), Giresse J. Tella. 
Speaking during the occasion, Minister Mbella Mbella  said the Head of State, President Paul Biya instructed the reform. As for innovations, he said, with the system, it will be possible to obtain visas online (e-visa). An entry visa to Cameroon will cost FCFA 100,000 to last for six months. The President of the Republic, the Minister said, has also prescribed that in the reform, the necessity to offer Cameroonians resident abroad an additional lever  for their protection in host countries should be taken into consideration.
