Service To The Nation : Last Respects To Fallen Ekondo-Titi DO

Territorial Administration Minister, Paul Atanga Nji represented the Head of State at the coffining and funeral ceremony of the deceased administrator on May 6, 2022.

Final honours were on May 6, 2022 paid to the Divisional Officer (DO) of Ekondo-Titi, Subdivision, South West Region, Timothée Aboloa, killed by an improvised explosive device planted by separatists fighters on March 2, 2022. The administrator and other decentralised collaborators were on a sensitisation tour in the Subdivision to preach peace and social tolerance when the unfortunate incident happened. The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, represented the President of the Republic at the coffining and funeral ceremony of the deceased administrator on May 6, 2022in Yaounde. Minister Atanga Nji also transmitted the condolences of President Paul Biya. The late Timothée Aboloa was buried on May 7, 2022 in his native village of Boalondo, Mbam and Inoubou Division of the Centre Region.
Paying homage to the deceased, the Minister, accompanied by other officials including the Governors of the South West and Centre Regions, said the late Divisional Officer was a seasoned and courageous administrator who gave daily reports on happenings in his administrative unit. “It is a very sad situation and we have come to pray for the repose of his soul. I think that he has gone to his last journey and he will rest in peace. I also want to extend the heart felt condolences of the Head of State, President Paul Biya, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Territorial Administration to the bereaved families. The Head of State has given instructions that we should accompany the family with financial assistance.
