Buea : Population, Military Manifest Love For Nation

With heavy artilleries, the forces of law and order showcased their determination in protecting the Fatherland and its citizens.

South West Regional Governor, Bernard Okalia Bilai, has saluted the military and civilian population who mobilised themselves and gave the nation the love and respect it deserve at the Bongo Square Buea. This was on Friday May 20, 2022, as Cameroon celebrated its National Day. The Governor said the population of the South West Region, with Buea in particular have understood that when the nation is concerned, they must wake up and join the rest of the nation to uphold its values. He called on all to remain vigilant as some misguided compatriots are still loitering around with false hope. “We should sensitise them that we have only one nation and we must protect it,” he advised.
The celebration was opened with medal awards to meritorious Cameroonians. There were Order of Valour (12), Cameroon Order of Merit (13), Night of the Sports Order of Merit (2), Public Force Merit Medal (5), Gold Labour Medal of Honour (2), Silver Guild Labour Medal of Honour (4), Silver Labour Medal of Honour (1) summing to 39 recipients. 
The march-past led by the security forces was a unique opportunity for them to demonstrate their heavy ammunitions used in protecting the fatherland and its citizen...
