Public Service Recruitment, Exams : Age Exemption For Persons With Disabilities

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on May 19, 2022 signed an order spelling out the modalities.

In the upcoming competitive examinations and recruitment in to the public service, the Minister of Social Affairs as well as that of Public Service and Administrative Reform will have to ensure the respect of modalities on age exemptions in relation to people with disabilities.
Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute spelled out the modalities in Order No. 040/PM of 19 May 2022 fixing the modalities for granting age exemption to people with disabilities in administrative competitive examinations and recruitment in the public service.  The age exemption is maximum five years above the age limit contained in the decision launching the examination or recruitment. He said that the exemption is granted to people with professional, school and university training and holders of National Invalidity Card. Beneficiaries of the age exemption can only be declared successful in the competitive examination or recruitment if the post solicited is compatible with the nature of the disability.
