National Hygiene and sanitation Competition : Littoral Poised to Lift Trophy

The competition was launched in the Region on Wednesday, May 25.

The Cleanest city campaign competition has been launched in the littoral region. The campaign also known as the Hygiene and Sanitation campaign has been launched with a call for all to put hands on deck to ensure that a city from the littoral wins the national competition. The campaign that is out to promote cleanliness within the cities in Cameroon was first launched by the Minister of Housing and Urban  Development in 2019, since then different towns and cities have won the competition going home which huge sums of money all in a bit to keep cities clean. While launching the campaign in the littoral region on Wednesday, May 25, the Chief of Administrative and Judiciary Affairs Division in the Littoral Governors’ office, Zenabou Mali Bakary, called on all to work for the region to emerge victorious.
She congratulated the Douala II municipality that won the second prize during last year’s competition. She then called on all the municipalities in Douala to work hard so as to win the first position. She added that the beauty of a town lies in its appearance.
