Diplomacy : Minister Receives US, Egyptian Ambassadors

The two diplomats were granted separate audiences by External Relations Minister on June 7, 2022.

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella on June 7, 2022 granted two separate audiences to the United States Ambassador to Cameroon, Christopher John Lamora and the Egyptian Ambassador, Dalia Fayez Farag Ghubrial. Bilateral, international and multilateral issues were discussed with the US Ambassador while the Egyptian diplomat was bearer of an invitation from her Minister of Foreign Affairs to Minister Mbella Mbella on the upcoming Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development to be held on June 21 and 22, 2022. 
The US Ambassador said he discussed a wide range of issues with the Minister which border on the bilateral relationship between the United States and Cameroon. “I have been in Cameroon for three months and it seemed like a good moment for a check-in with the Minister on how we are doing with our relationship and how we can move things further positively. We talked about international and multilateral relations. He shared with me his insights from the African Union summit he recently attended in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. That was very helpful for me to understand the view point of Cameroon and the African Union as to what is happening on the continent,” he stated. 
For the Egyptian Ambassador, she said she came to hand an invitation letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon, to participate in Asw...
