GCE Examinations : Practical Session Ongoing In Yaounde

The exercise which began on June 7 will end on June 24, 2022.

Candidates of the 2022 examinations organised by the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) Board are currently undertaking the practical session. Yesterday, June 8, 2022, Cameroon Tribune reporters visited some accommodation centres in Yaounde. It was observed that candidates of the GCE Advanced Level Chemistry and those of the Ordinary Level Food and Nutrition were undertaking the practical part of the assessment, which was going on hitch-free. Authorities in the various centres say all measures had been taken to acquire the necessary apparatus needed for a smooth practical session.
Government Bilingual High School Yaounde, at the Essos neighbourhood, is an examination and accommodation centre with Code number 11036. The centre is hosting candidates from 10 different schools. Some 472 internal and external candidates were undertaking the Chemistry practical session at the school premises. The Principal of Government Bilingual High School Essos, Tambe Agbor Teddy Tabekwere said prior to the examination period, they renovated the school laboratory. Taps were fixed and more equipment such as glass beakers, test tubes and boiling tubes acquired. So far, he revealed that the practical session is moving on without any major problem. The 472 candidates have been divided into groups of 60 each, with two groups undertaking practical daily. The first session begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends before midday, for the second group to begin. By Friday, June 10, all 472 candidates should have completed the practical session. Tambe Agbor Teddy says on Friday, June 10, Computer Sciences candidates will join the practical session. All work stations for the Computer Sciences practical are ready, says the Principal of Government Bilingual High School, Essos.
