Basketball Cup Of Cameroon : Finalists Known

Curtains will soon drop on the 2022 edition of the Basketball Cup of Cameroon as the teams to take part in the finals are known. They include Ecole de Basketball and FAP in the men’s category and Overdose and Université de Douala (UDLA) in the women’s category. They booked their places for this phase of the competition after semi-finals matches played on Sunday June 12, 2022 in Douala. 
Overdose up station got the first ticket in the women’s category in a very spectacular duel against FAP, winning 80-73. According to the Communication Branch Manager of FECABASKET, Yves Tsala, Overdose took advantage of the lack of experience of FAP. “There are a lot of talented players in FAP but they get in trouble at the end of the game when it matters most,” he explained. The communication branch manager equally highlighted that the game saw “one of the most spectacular actions: a dunk of Carine Silatsa; which is the only dunk ever made in a women game in Cameroon”. In the second encounter, UDLA beat Onyx 68-60.
