Promoting Bilingualism, Multiculturalism : Chairperson Seeks Continuous Support

The Chairperson of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism, Peter Mafany Musonge has solicited the continuous support of the government, politicians, judicial system, cooperate world and concerned citizens to the efforts of the institution in promoting a more harmonious and peaceful Cameroon. This is contained in the editorial of the latest edition of the Commission’s magazine.  The 35-page bilingual document through texts and pictures, highlights the activities of the institution for the last three months (April, May and June). It is equally the first publication after the renewable of the mandates of the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and members of the said Commission. 
A bilingual editorial of the Chairperson titled “No triumphalism” opens the magazine. Referring to the renewal of their mandate as a “second coming,” Peter Mafany Musonge says it is a stronger call to service and continuous hard work, so as to produce results that speak to the purpose of the existence of the Commission. He notes they have recorded progress in promoting bilingualism, living together and fighting hate speech, though much still has to be done.
